how to wear the latest bright make-up trends
Go Bright And Beautiful!
This season's bright shades may look kind of crazy, but they supply a beautiful pop of colour in all the right places!
Scared of loud lipstick? Coral, tomato red, hot pink and magenta shades are all hot right now, but stick to a classic red if you're too timid to go there, suggests Collins. "Tweak it a bit by using an orange lip pencil (apply the pencil underneath your lipstick) to give it a modern punch."
Some bright lipsticks look less Eighties than others – Collins favours magenta, particularly on darker skin tones, or a red with orange tone. Dior's Rouge Dior in Mazette (R325) rocks on light to medium skin tones.
Pretty pink your thing? Try Estée Lauder’s Signature Lipstick in Brilliant Pink (R250). And since you're already sporting a loud lip, keep eyes muted with a shimmery metallic eye shadow that's in the same colour range as your natural skin tone (such as chocolately bronze on darker skin or a champagne shade on pale skin tones).
