Q: I’ve just had a fringe cut and need some help blow-drying it at home. How do I make sure it dries straight?

A: “Always dry your fringe from wet once you’ve washed your hair. This means that you shouldn’t rough dry your fringe off before you blow dry into shape – it needs to be very wet (and not just damp) when you start styling it. Section off the rest of your hair (so it’s out the way), leaving just it  for you to work with. Now take a small-ish round barrel hairbrush and use it to brush out your fringe with the nozzle of your dryer following the downward round strokes as you slowly brush. Once you’re happy that it’s properly smoothed out, dry off the rest of your hair. Once your hair is dry, give your fringe a little extra help with a light spritz of hair spray. Comb out your fringe, and the close your eyes and lightly mist just the section with a non-sticky holding spray. Lastly, push the ends of your fringe up gently with your hand to coax it into a curved shape so it’s not lying flat against your forehead.”
