how much water should you drink to lose weight
Q: How Much Water To Lose Weight?
Q: How much water must I drink to lose weight?
A: Drinking water will not cause weight loss, so there is no water recommendation for weight loss. However, water is needed for nearly every function in the body and so staying well hydrated is very important.
Water is needed for good blood volume, cardiac output and delivery of oxygen to working muscles. During exercise, staying well hydrated also decreases the risk of muscle cramping, regulates core body temperature and gets rid of unwanted waste.
Use thirst as a guide to getting enough fluid and try to drink mostly plain water. Aim for at least four glasses of water per day and then add more water or other fluids, like herbal tea, according to preference or thirst.
If you struggle to get plain water down, try flavour your water by adding orange, lemon segments, sliced berries or fresh mint leaves.

i have always been overweight- the tipical yoyo-dieter. i couldn't get my lips to touch water at first. i was losing hope when i tried to lose weight-without drinking enough water. i can guarantee that water will help your weightloss. it detoxes, hidrated and cleanses your inners. i found that my skin was smoother and i was eating less aswell. now i drink about 2-3L of water a day! i have to force myself, but i feel good, and i crave more at times. you have to set yourself goals. i do this by drinking a 1.5L waterbottle from when i wake up, to 13hr00 and another one until i go to bed. this i is an awesome website! i've really learned a lot here.
I once got the following info about water.
Hi Etrecia,
With water making up more of our bodies than anything else, it’s no surprise the amount and quality of the water we drink has such a strong influence on our wellbeing. In fact, the human body is designed to comprise around 70% water, making it the most critical fluid in your body. A healthy human being can survive for weeks without food, but only a few days without water.
That’s why drinking the right amount of water on your ***** Program is so important. It helps flush out the toxins stored in body fat, thereby making weight loss more efficient for your body to achieve. Consequently, drinking the minimum two litres of water per day provides an essential foundation to support all the other work you do to lose weight.
However, some people struggle to consume the required amount of water, especially when beginning their program. If they have been used to drinking only flavoured drinks, coffee, tea, sodas etc, then adding water to their diet seems almost too boring for words. But, like many things in life, you can quickly get into the practice of drinking water.
Before I talk about how to get into the water habit, let’s look at some of the amazing benefits of water on your health:
Water transports oxygen to your cells, delivers nutrients, removes waste, and provides energy to the body, fighting daytime fatigue and making you feel more alive.
Water is great for eliminating cravings. Whenever you feel a craving just drink a glass of water and in a few minutes you should feel fine again.
Water keeps your metabolism working at an optimum level, thereby speeding up weight loss.
Drinking the right amount of water can ease back and joint pains, improve short-term memory, and improve thinking tasks like reading or computer work.
Sufficient daily water intake significantly decreases the risk of major cancers like colon cancer, breast cancer and bladder cancer.
Drinking enough water prevents dehydration, helping to ease pain in joints and muscles, lower back pain, headaches, and constipation.
The thirst mechanism is often mistaken for hunger so drinking water can stop you feeling like you want to eat. And recent research shows that a glass of water can shut down midnight hunger pangs completely.
Your body can lose 2.5 litres of water every day through normal bodily functions like perspiration, breathing and going to the toilet. If you are physically active or athletic, you will lose even more water. And don’t wait to feel thirsty before you drink water – thirst is a warning sign that you are already facing harmful levels of dehydration.
Try the following to help you get used to drinking water regularly:
Drink filtered water rather than straight from the tap. Not only does it taste better it is much healthier and the filtration process removes many of the unhealthy chemicals used in the water treatment process.
To get your minimum two litres a day of water, drink a glass with breakfast and then before lunch, one with your lunch and another between lunch and supper, one with supper and then another after supper.
Remember to drink water and rehydrate yourself each time you go to the toilet.
Keep a bottle of water nearby while you are working and drink from it throughout the day.
You can drink sparkling mineral water if you prefer it, but only the unflavoured variety.
Once you get into the habit of drinking water regularly, you’ll not only feel the improvements to your health and energy but can be confident your body is now helping you to lose weight faster. As you start to feel the huge benefits, you may well find yourself reaching for a glass naturally.

Hi Celeste
My friend suggested that she and myself try Biobust seeing as it has worked for her friend.
I was on the pill three years ago and developed blood clots. Could Biobust have the same effect?
As a precautionary what foods act as a natural anticoagulant?
Thank you
i am pretty bad at drinking water, not even a litre a day, but its because it goes straight through me and as a teacher i cannot go to the loo every 5 mins.
