Create a trendy hairstyle for that party in no time at all...

With the party season about to kick off, I'm starting to think about quickie party looks that are easy to pull off. This weekend I'm off to Jozi for a wedding and as I'm sharing a suitcase with my man I have to seriously downsize my beauty bag. Also, as I'm away, there's no chance of a pro blow dry, so here's my hair plan: Slicked back, wet-look pony with side parting – the look is totally on-trend but dead easy to create. And repeat after me, 'think sexy, not school girl.'

You'll Need:
- Hair band in a colour that matches your tresses
- Flexible hair spray (invest in a handy travel size if you're on the move this season).
- Wide-toothed comb

To Do:
Lightly spritz on the spray so your whole head is covered in a fine mist (leave mid lengths and ends dry) and then part hair into a side parting (comb straight back if you'd prefer). Smooth neatly into a low pony and secure firmly at the nape of your neck with your hair band.

Tip: If you're worried about any frizzies or fly-aways, spritz a little more spray onto your hands and sweep your palms over your scalp fixing stray strands in place.
