Q: This year I've made it a priority to exercise often and eat healthy. It's been pretty good so far, and since I hate to see no results, I stay away from scales and measuring tapes, so I have no idea if it's even working. I feel pretty strong about losing the unwanted fat and toning up, but I guess I don't feel strong enough – I have alot of trouble getting myself to actually go and exercise, and over the weekends I just seem to forget about my diet, eat what I want when I want. Is there any advice you can give me to get in gear, execsise when I have to and keep myself from overeating or ordering that drink at the bar?

A: Not having a set, workable goal to work towards kind of makes all the hard work you are putting into losing weight pointless. You need to have a prize to work towards. I suggest weigh yourself or measure your waist circumference every two weeks to ensure you are staying on track. Having a goal such as fitting into the little black dress will keep you motivated. This will also make you think twice about not wanting to exercise and ruining your diet over the weekend.
