How to maintain successful weightloss
How to Keep the Weight Off
Many people have lost weight several times in their lifetime, but maintaining the loss is very difficult to achieve. The lucky few who have been successful in losing weight and having maintained their loss have done so by following strict exercise regimens, careful eating plans and patterns...
To achieve weight maintenance a person needs to expend about 2000 Kcalories in some form of physical activity per week.
Try to achieve 30-60 minutes of exercise per day.
Self monitoring is vitally important to maintaining weightloss. If you weigh yourself regularly you can detect weight gains early and initiate the necessary lifestyle changes immediately.
A successful weightloss program is achieved when a weight loss of at least 10 percent of initial body weight and maintaining the loss for at least one year.
Research has shown that 25 percent percent of people maintain the weightloss after five years. Unfortunately it takes lots of hard work, dedication to stick to a weight loss diet and even more perseverance to maintain your weight. Make the weight loss program as part of your lifestyle.

I'm busy doing a program to lose weight that I picked up when i was on chronic meds for 6 months. I put on 12 kg in those months and became very depressed! i've lost 7 kg so far and have 5 more to go. the last 5 are definately proving to be the hardest. I just keep reminding myself that it's hard work but in the end I will be so proud of myself. You need to be dedicated and make it a mindset to train and become fit and eat healthily. Glk to all the other ladies out there working to lose that extra bulge :-) we'll get there!! positive thinking!
In my younger years - 25 - 30. All it took was one week of aerobics to lose 5Kg but now I have hit 75Kg - my optimum wight is 52Kg and I can't seem to be able to stick to any exercise regimen.
At 34 it looks like no diet will work so with the help of WH I want to shed the extra weight. I hope this time I can!

hi all,
Can being on anti depressants (1/2 zoloft) for Anxiety prohibit weight loss? Im trying really hard, but it seems to be in vain. Please help. I need to shed 8kgs.

My initial weight loss was 55kg's.Dress size 8 NOW 10 years later I have MAINTAINED and IMPROVED my shape. I mentally adjust my view to accept I can eat, exercise and live healthy habits. I NEVER GIVE UP.. each day gives ability & choices, do for you 'now' so 'then' is a reward, with this attitude you win lifelong maintenance. We all wise to know what to do, we must just want to.
Want to loose between 7-10kg per month on a healthy eating plan, i lost 7kg in one month in 2005 and i'm still on my goal weigh after 5 years!!
I feel great..... MORE ENERGY!!
Hi all,
I had tried many different diets just like everyone - always regaining the weight. I found out about the DNA Diet, which is able to tell you exactly what type of diet programme you should be on (specific to you and your genes). Thus eliminating the guess work of dieting. This has been VERY successful for me and I suggest it to anyone I can. Look it up if you serious about weight loss and keeping it off......
