how to treat oily hair
Q: Help I Have Oily Hair!
Q: I have to wash my hair every day as it is extremely oily. If I leave it for a day then it hangs and looks terrible. When we go camping a weekend I wear a cap all day. What can I do to make it less oily and keep it cleaner for longer. Some of my friends only wash their hair once a week?
A: This may totally freak you out, but the answer may be to wash your hair less often – say every two days. Over-stimulation of your sebaceous glands (they're the ones producing the oil) might be the culprit of your greasy locks. Then also try washing with a detox or clarifying shampoo specifically to cleanse your hair and rid it of dirt, debris and product build up. Don't use it every time you wash, but every second time, alternating with your regular shampoo. And then the last trick you should try is to use conditioner on your mid-lengths and ends only. And make your sure your hair is thoroughly rinsed post-conditioning.
