Make sure you hang onto that summer shimmer a little longer with the help of bronze in a bottle. The Body Shop makes a very nice one which blends in easily and can be dabbed on the shoulders, collarbone, brow bone and apples of the cheeks. Be sure to up your exfoliation to three times a week (both face and body) so the product sits on the skin smoothly.
Overdid the sun? Oops, that’s a serious no-no. But, if it is the case, invest in a truck-load of aloe vera. Nivea make a great post-sun soother that contains aloe vera – this ingredient is known for its skin calming effects. Stick it into the fridge and then apply when it’s super chilled for the happiest skin in town.
Summer means lots of sun, swimming and… perspiration (no, girls don’t perspire, they glisten). To make sure your make-up doesn’t melt off your face and leave you with raccoon eyes, choose a waterproof mascara. Some of our favourite ones? Kanebo, Estee Lauder, Maybelline and Revlon.
Again, Summer is a time for sun, swimming and – ok, lets stick to that. Hair takes strain with exposure to chlorine and salt water. Think about wetting your hair through with normal tap water before you jump into the pool of surf the waves. Even better – wet hair and apply a healthy dose of leave-in conditioner or a hair mask. By the time it’s completely rinsed out from your swim, you’ll be packing up your beach bag and heading home – with happy hair!
