Weight and eating dinner late
Q: Does eating after 8pm cause weight gain?
A: It does in fact not matter what time of day you eat. It is however important what you eat and how much you eat and how much physical activity you do during the whole day that determines whether you gain, lose, or maintain weight. If you like snacking late at night, try to keep those snacks small, and low in energy value. Also try to avoid snacking in front of the TV, as one can often overeat when you are distracted by the television.

What are reasonable or optional snacks for late night as I don't eat much during the day (well balanced meals daytime) but after a crazy day at the office when I'm relaxed at home, is when when I usually want to snack. Nuts? Popcorn? Rice Crispies & milk (a friend suggested this)? Crackers & cheese? Biltong? Dried Fruit? Pretzels? Please be specific and detailed with advice and include brands where possible
If i snack late night i normally try and stick to nuts without salt and fruit.
