Why not change your hair colour
Feel Like a Change?
I changed my hair colour recently (blonde to brunette) and been amused to learn that with a new shade of hair colour comes a whole new approach to how I present myself...
As a blonde, I wore a lot of black. As a brunette, it feels too Goth, so I’m mixing it a up (a little!) with splashes of colour, brighter accessories and a lot more white.
Blondes can pull off bright red lips effortlessly but now such a strong colour feels over the top. Instead, I’m drawing attention to my baby blues with lashings of mascara and am playing down my lips in a nude gloss. I like it!
I was worried that dying my hair a darker colour would make me a feel older or less visible. In fact, it’s had the opposite affect. Getting rid of the high-maintenance blonde (I’m a natural Mouse) has been liberating and the new colour reminds me of my fun, fun, fun London days when I had an inky black Uma Thurman-style bob.
Take the plunge, have fun and enjoy the change!
