New research has shown that even if you are following a weight-loss and an exercise plan, if you're not getting enough sleep and are stressed, you will not lose weight!

The studied showed that if you get between 6-8 hour sleep, you will be less stressed and have the greatest success with weight loss and so for anyone trying to lose weight, a holistic approach needs to be taken.

Another study which was published in the American Heart Association scientific sessions, found that adults within a normal weight range tend to eat more when they sleep less. Columbia University found that a person eats 300 calories (1260 kilojoules) more when they are sleep deprived. The extra 300 calories included foods which were higher in saturated fats. Basically if you sleep less, you become more stressed and eat more. This equals to emotional eating.

The advice for this week is to get a good 6-8 hours of sleep, continue with your weight-loss and exercise plan. You will sure enough meet your body-weight goal.
