The 10-Minute Fat Burner

When it comes to sculpting a smokin’ hot body, James Duigan knows how to do it: he’s partly responsible for Elle Macpherson’s incredible physique, and is personal trainer to Victoria’s Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley!

Want to know how he does it? Here’s a 10-minute fat-burner workout from Duigan’s latest book, Clean & Lean Flat Tummy Fast! Do the workout three times a week, with a day off in-between. On your day “off”, do 30 minutes of fat-burning cardio.

 

Fat-Burning Cardio:
3 minutes: brisk walking
2 minutes: jogging (where you can still hold a conversation without getting out of breath)
1 minute: go sprinting (as fast as you can). Do this 8 times (so a total of 24 minutes)
5 minutes: brisk walking.


The Forward Lunge

16207-1-6674.jpgThis is one of the best exercises for developing leg strength, plus it also works your stomach muscles. The legs constitute a huge muscle group, and the more you work them the more your muscles have to work and the more fat you burn. Plus, because you need to steady yourself, your abdominals get a great workout. The result? A very lean tummy. Stand with perfect posture with palms and both feet facing out, hip-width apart. Set your core. Step forward and lunge with one leg, as shown. Your front shin should be straight and perpendicular to the floor. Push up with the front leg and return to standing position. Repeat 12 times on each leg (24 reps in total).
