I've been in numerous relationships with men, but I find women just as attractive and I've recently admitted to myself that I have a crush on my female boss. Am I normal?

It's normal to be attracted to both men and women, says counselling psychologist Thabile Zondi-Rees, and it doesn't necessarily mean you're bisexual. According to Freud, everyone goes through a period of bisexuality before assuming his or her real sexual orientation.

"Bisexuality can be a transitional identity before you find your own, or it can be an identity on its own," says Zondi-Rees.

If, however, you feel this is an area you'd like to explore, start out by chatting online to (safe) groups: you'll discover many women feel the same way as you do. Your office crush could also just mean you respect and admire your boss profoundly, but if you think she might reciprocate the feelings, consider whether it's a step you might be ready to take.
