For the flu: A bottle of good quality whisky (Jack Daniels), drink as much as possible within 20 minutes. Dress really warm, snuggle up in bed... SLEEP!! and then, SLEEP some more!
The alcohol and sleep shocks the white blood cells back into 'germ fighting mode'!
If you have a hole in your tooth, a cavity, or it hurts really bad, take zambuck ointment, role a small ball with it and stick it inside. Within an hour or two the pain will subside and eventually disappear.
For colds and flu, or if you just don't feel yoursele, take fresh carrots and juice them. Drink a glass full every morning. Also for low energy levels, and low iron, drink half a glass of beetroot juice every morning.
For constipation, make a mixed salad with LOTS of raw spinach leaves, half a banana, one tomato, one grated carrot, 2 slices of cheese, half an apple,a tablespoon of cranberries, raw oats and seeds and low fat salad dressing. Chop everything up,pile ontop of each other and bon appetite. TasteS FANTASTIC!!
My Dad has suffered from Neuralgia as a result of Shingles for about 8 years now. The only thing that eases the pain is a mixture of grandpa headache powder (about 10 sachets) and ingrams camphor cream (250g tub). I have now made up a batch at home and for aches and pains (even my osteo arthritis) it is a wonder cream.
Theresa, my grandma used the same remedy and swears by it, but is it the white or green camphor cream you use?
as from my first stay in RSA in October 55 I used Grandpa Headache Powder for whatever pain (mainly Headaches & Migrane) I may have had.
I am now 78 years old, live in Europe, but still use the good old Grandpa H-Powder- which I keep in sufficient supply.
To this day I found nothing to top it, neither have I experienced any aftereffects.
