If so, they could have serious legal consequences.

If you follow Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna’s relationship, you probably know that it’s pretty tumultuous. But on Wednesday, their on-and-off-again romance appeared to take a dark turn.

In short, Rob went on an Instagram tirade (his account has now been deleted) against Blac Chyna, accusing his ex-fiancée of drug use and cheating. He also claims he spent $1 million on her in a month in jewellery and gifts, according to People.

Rob also shared a screenshot of an alleged text conversation between himself and Blac Chyna that included a photo of what appears to be Chyna’s exposed genitals. (It’s since been removed.) “This is from Chyna yesterday to me,” he wrote in the caption, according to People. “I never been so disrespected in my life. I just bought her 250K of jewellery yesterday. This woman is so disrespectful and I don’t care.” Rob also allegedly posted several more naked photos of Chyna, per People, but those have also been removed. His account appears to have been deactivated.

Blac Chyna responded on Snapchat by alleging that her ex physically abused her. “Rob u did all this but u beat me up and try act it never happen!!!!!” she shared on Snapchat. “U put hand on me I swear on god!!!! On my kids but I’m supposed to be quiet because you’re a Kardashian.” The post has also been deleted.

The former couple, who started dating in 2016, share a daughter, Dream. Their relationship comes with complicated ties: Blac Chyna also shares a son with Rob’s sister Kylie Jenner’s ex Tyga, and is best friends with Amber Rose, who used to date Kanye West (who is now married to Kim Kardashian, Rob’s sister). Rob and Chyna got engaged in April 2016, and announced that they were expecting their first child together a month later. They called off their engagement in February.

While this isn’t the first time that the pair’s relationship has gotten nasty on social media, many speculate that Rob’s posts could constitute revenge porn, which typically has serious legal ramifications. Revenge porn is defined as the non-consensual distribution of sexually graphic images and videos, according to Carrie Goldberg, a victim’s rights lawyer with a focus on sexual privacy. “Right now, over two-thirds of the states in the U.S. have criminal laws outlawing revenge porn,” she tells Women’s Health. “Offenders can face jail time and in some states felony charges for distributing somebody’s naked pictures without their consent.”

California, where Rob and Blac Chyna live, takes revenge porn seriously. “They really do crack down on it hard in California,” Goldberg says. Victims of non-consensual porn in California can make a revenge porn claim in civil court, which allows them to sue the offender. “We’ve had some very big judgments in the last year—$5 million and $8 million,” Goldberg says. “There can be very serious ramifications for any offender who distributes pictures without consent, particularly for someone like a Kardashian who has such a social media following.” Meaning, if Chyna decides to sue, Rob could not only face jail time, he could have to pay her a lot of money in damages.

Currently, revenge porn still isn’t classed as a criminal act in South Africa. But things might be changing thanks to the Cybercrimes and Cybersecurity Bill that was updated in Parliament back in March. The 2017 draft now includes a clause that will “criminalise the harmful disclosure of pornography.” The new section was based on the Criminal Law (Sexual Offences and Related Matters) Amendment Act of 2007.

If you are ever a victim of revenge porn, Goldberg recommends taking screenshots before you do anything. “It’s important first for victims to preserve the evidence,” she says. Then, contact the social media platform (if the revenge porn is posted there) and ask them to take it down. Most social media companies have policies against this kind of thing and will take action quickly. Goldberg “highly recommends” that you also contact a lawyer, report it to law enforcement, and be ready to prove that the offender is who they say they are (i.e. not just someone posing as your ex). Since this is a new crime, a lot of law enforcement officers aren’t totally sure how to deal with revenge porn, but there are laws in place to protect you.

Neither Rob nor Blac Chyna have commented outside of social media.
