Amanda Hardy from Flight Centre recommends a few tips to make your overseas holiday trip hassle free and enjoyable.

1. When you’re applying for a visa you may need to set an appointment with the embassy and appear in person. Or it may be just a walk in. Either way, allow enough time in your plans for the visa processing.

2. Before jet-setting make sure you have travel insurance. No one wants to think of accidents or illness when you’re on that dream holiday. Medical bills in foreign countries can be crippling. With proper travel insurance you can have complete peace of mind.

3. When planning your trip get an all-inclusive travel package. Take the stress out of your travel plans by paying upfront for all your meals, most of your drinks and activities the resorts may offer. So when it comes to check out time there won’t be any nasty surprises waiting on the bill. The only stress you should have is deciding whether to snorkel or sit on the beach sipping a cocktail.

Enjoy your holiday!
