Breakfast does tend to get a little boring when you’re staring down the toaster every day. Liven up your breakfast – and boost your energy naturally – with this fig, pomegranate, oats and hemp seed bowl. You won’t even need that second cup of coffee – promise.
RAW: FIG, POMEGRANATE, OATS AND HEMP SEED BREAKFAST BOWL
1⁄3 cup oats, soaked in
1⁄3 cup almond cream*
2 tbsp pomegranate arils
2 figs, chopped
1 tbsp shelled hemp seeds
*To make almond cream, blend together one cup nuts, one cup water, one teaspoon spice (like cocoa powder, ground ginger, ground cinnamon, lavender or vanilla extract) and one teaspoon honey.
Swap the almond cream for soy, oat or coconut milk.
