Make Your Own Cocktails
The Ultimate Cocktail Formula
You don’t have to hit the town to sip on a yummy cocktail – it’s pretty simple to make your own.
Dale DeGroff, author of The Craft of the Cocktail (www.exclusivebooks.com), knows more drink recipes than Lindsay Lohan knows rehab facilities – and, fortunately, he’s also figured out a short cut.
The following formula will help you mix any distilled spirit with citrus juice and sweetener.
“It’s the foundation for so many drinks, from a gin fizz to a mojito,” says DeGroff. To make the drinks below, simply shake the ingredients with ice and strain into a cocktail glass. You can increase the alcohol portion by up to 30ml to suit larger Martini glasses without altering the balance of the drink, DeGroff says.

Thanks for this.
Who knew it was so easy - Guess what i'll be having while we cook dinner tonight!
A great little trick is to freeze strawberries (or any other berry). Then blend them up, add gin and some syrup and you have the most incredible frozen Strawberry daquiri. Also works great with frozen bananas - and adding malibu to this is great!
Yum!
I bought an interesting book not so long ago..........it's called "The Cocktail Bible"
and believe me it is the most "authoritve word" on any cocktail
Recipes, Tips, Ideas......name it it's all in the book!!!!!
Buy it its worth every cent!
Where can I get the book - exclusive books?
Thanks for the input! This list can prove itself useful at the beginning of the summer season. As long as these cocktails won't send me directly in an alcohol detox then I am perfectly fine with them although I admit, when it comes to alcohol I'll have to keep cautious.
Thank you for this interesting review.I like cocktails very much and I've recently bought this book from a friend of mine who is selling textbooks.I've already prepared some of these cocktail recipes and they are great.
