Is'nt the Marshmallow fattening
How do I make this one?
is fabulite available in kzn?
Marshmallows have zero fat but do have sugar
You should not suggest to take artificial sweeteners, as they have aspartame and they are very bad for your health, specifically for your endocrine system. If you consume artificial sweeteners regularly your whole system is out of balance, preventing to loose weight. Eugenia
wonderful ! Any non-fattening smoothie ideas?
Lately there's a lot of sweeteners without the bad aspartame!
Let's ask our expert. Watch this space!
seetener will only prevent you from losing weight if you drink excessive amounts. I lost 5 kg by replacing the sugar in my coffee with sweetener.... It DOES help.
I have sweetner everyday in my coffee, I have lost 14kgs just by cutting out sugar, carbohydrates and fats.
Hulettes has just released a sweetner with no aspartame in it and it actually taste better than alot of other sweetners! Have a look for it in shops, its bright green!
Thanks that's good to know
Try Xylitol!
It is a safe, natural sweetener without the bad side-effects of sugar and artificial substitutes, it's also good for your teeth, stabilises insulin and hormone levels and promotes good health. Available at most health shops.
I read that the sweetener that hullets have brought out, has not been tested properly... I would be weary of anything artificial that you are putting in your body (this particular sweetner is derived from suger, but they take away a molecule to get it into this state) ... honestly, one spoon of suger in this hot choc is better for you if you ask me!! .... moderation folks! Good luck!
The Better Hullets one is in a bright green packaging - and much more expensive!! Is it all really true!! Can't wait for the expert!!
I wish your expert could give us the lowdown on fats- good and bad - see the pretzels - the last comment is about xxx g of saturated fats?? is that good / is that bad??
Sorry to do this but there are things such as stupid questions ... and many of them are comments on this page ...
Everything needs to be in moderation ... to the person that 'just' cut out carbohydrates, sugar and fat - are you nuts? That is so unhealthy - go see a doctor (and a counsellor). Losing weight at the expense of your health is not smart.
I started eating more carbs (I love toast and potatoes), and a little more fat, and stopped drinking. I've lost 10kg in 10 months, and look good. It's a good rate to lose weight at (less chance of flabbiness or stretchmarks), and over the last few months I've been adding exercise into my life - nothing hectic such as gym, rather somethign fun, a bit of squash, some dancing once or twice a week ... or if I'm crazy enough a short run.
Smoothie: blend fruits that are lower in carbs: strawberries and kiwi, or kiwi and pineapple with low-fat vanilla yoghurt for a filling meal, or with ice and some fruit juice (only a little cause fruit juice is high in sugar [hope I'm accurate otherwise I look like an idiot]) for a snack.
Sense: moderation
Nonsense: cutting out food groups.
Well it looks like 6 of one and half a dozen of the other. My suggestion is - that there is no wrong or right. Moderation in everything is the key.....Whatever works for your body is what you should use.
Moderation is a good way of thinking but most of us struggle with incorporating moderation into all aspects of life.
I agree that sweeteners with Aspartame is not good for you (moderation or not). Xylitol however, has all the great benefits mentioned above and are completely natural.
I have been using it for about two years now and have never looked back.
What about all that salt on the pretzels?
