Caramel vodka may be the shooter de rigueur, but you can infuse spirits with just about any flavour.
To make basil-infused vodka you’ll need:
A bunch of fresh basil leaves (washed)
An airtight bottle or jar
A coffee filter
Put the basil leaves in the jar, top with the drink and store in a cool, dry place for four days. Shake the vodka bottle about five times a day. After four days, strain the alcohol through a coffee filter and use it to add fresh flavour to your fav’ cocktails.
