Here’s how to make basil-infused vodka. For cocktail recipes to get the December issue of WH out now!

Caramel vodka may be the shooter de rigueur, but you can infuse spirits with just about any flavour.

To make basil-infused vodka you’ll need:
A bunch of fresh basil leaves (washed)
Good-quality vodka
An airtight bottle or jar
A coffee filter

Method
Put the basil leaves in the jar, top with vodka and store in a cool, dry place for four days. Shake the bottle about five times a day. After four days, strain the vodka through a coffee filter and use it to add fresh flavour to your fav’ cocktails.
