If he's doing to wear slimmer jeans, make sure he gets it right. You don't want them hugging his thighs too much and they need to be loose around the ankles. Denim normally stretches after a few wears so tell him to not fret, and that he'll end up with a few extra centimeters of breathing room. That said, slimmer and athletic guys look best in a slim fit. For bigger guys we'd recommend a straight leg. It's a roomier cut cos there's enough space to move comfortably.
