Women everywhere are applauding the new line.

The much anticipated Nike plus-sized fitness wear is finally being rolled out and we’re stoked! As the body positivity movement continues to grow and flourish, brands are latching onto the fact that women are more than just what about the size.

Nike identified that women of all shapes and sizes want to look and feel good while working out, as some women have often stopped exercising due to the fact that they could not find the appropriate clothes.

Rolling out a plus-size line that the company states is a “perfect fit for sizes 1x-3x” on their website. The collection made up of strappy tanks, sports bras, a running shirt with a cute out-out, chic leggings and a cape. The brand is using social media influencers like Grace Victory and Danielle Vanier to spread the word and show off the clothes. Check ’em out here:

When asked as to why Nike decided to launch the range. They said that “Nike recognises that women are stronger, bolder, and more outspoken than ever. In today’s world, sport is no longer something that she does, it’s who she is. The days where we have to add ‘female’ before ‘athlete’ are over. She is an athlete, period. And having helped fuel this cultural shift, we celebrate these athletes’ diversity, from ethnicity to body shape.”

Vice president of their women’s training apparel division, Helen Boucher, said that “beauty comes in all shapes and sizes and being strong is beautiful. Strong is the keyword for us; size doesn’t matter.”

She continued by saying that with the science in place, art follows in how we flatter the form, which for every women, is made up of curves- fit is the most important and an artful aspect of celebrating a woman’s curves.

Women on Twitter applauded the new line, Tweeting their praise and excitement about the brand making women feel more comfortable at the gym.

Let’s all give Nike a serious slow clap for recognising that fitness-lovers come in all sizes.
