how to trim down for spring
Lose Weight For Spring Now!
Small changes, big results
Getting out of winter mode is never easy. Here's how to trim down with some small changes...
1. Eat slowly and savour each mouthful of food.
2. Put down the fork between bites, this prevents you from overeating.
3. Delay eating for two to three minutes between bites, and converse with others.
4. Postpone a desired snack for 10 minutes, rather drink a glass of water.
5. Serve food on a smaller plate, such as a side plate.
6. Leave one or two bites of food on the plate.
7. Divide the portions in half so that another portion can be permitted.
8. Eat at the dining room table, not on the sofa.
9. Leave and clear the table as soon as eating is done.
10. Do not eat and combine it with an activity such as watching TV or reading.
11. Do not put bowls of food on the table, rather pre-plate your food in the kitchen.
12. Shop for groceries from a shopping list, this prevents you buying junk food.
13. Plan meals and snacks; put your meal plan up on the fridge so that your family can support you.
14. Stock the cupboard with healthier food options.
15. Snack on vegetables/ fruit/nuts. Try these super-skinny snacks.
16. Include more wholegrain and wholewheat products into your diet.
17. Avoid eating out and buying fast foods rather cook at home.
18. Avoid saturated fats and fatty meals.
19. Drink plenty of fluids, especially water.
20. Drink alcohol in moderation.

Ya see. Re No. 10. I live alone. And I find that watching telly is almost like having another person there. I can eat, be conscious of what I'm eating and all that, and then put the fork down, watch some telly (as if I were stopping to chat to someone) and then carry on. If nothing is happening around me, I'm like a machine: head down, fork, food, mouth, food, mouth food mouth etc etc etc.
So ... that rule doesn't always apply to everyone.
:)
