- Lie on your back with your legs squeezed together, knees bent slightly more than 90 degrees, feet flat on the floor.
- Extend your arms overhead and reach back, elongating your abs. Engage your core and arc your arms up over your body, keeping them straight and letting your head follow. Roll up one vertebra at a time, until your lower back starts to come off the floor. Hold there for three breaths.
- Next, roll back down, slowly pressing your spine into the mat and raising your arms back behind you, retracing the path overhead to the floor. Do five reps.
