Meet Tarin Calmeyer

A women’s yoga, wellness and mindfulness teacher, Tarin ‘The Chocolate Pretzel’ is set on helping women live their best lives. Tarin first fell in love with yoga when she used it as a mean of recovery from a dancing injury. Well studying osteopathy, she embarked on a journey to become a yoga teacher. In 2013, her love for the human body led her completing her first yoga teacher training in Australia. Shortly after qualifying, she began to teach classes around the world. She has since taken her classes online where she teaches yoga, breath work and energy practices, all while vlogging on Youtube.

Squat Your Way To A Firmer Butt

Tarin says that one of the most effective ways to boost your overall fitness and get some serious results from your workout is to include squats in your daily movement routine. “Even though squats are often regarded as leg exercises, they actually offer benefits throughout your entire body, especially deep within your core to the pelvic floor. Squatting not only strengthens the muscles of the legs and butt but also drastically improves overall balance and stability. If you’re new to exercise, no need to go hard, 10-20 squats a day,” explains Tarin.

It’s the last week of my experimental squat challenge, my core and legs are feeling solid and stable AF, and I’m celebrating with some more squats. This week I’m shifting all focus to form and depth. Squats are actively helping me to even out compensatory patterns in my body and activating muscles that normally don’t get called on.
