In the mood for a sweaty Valentine’s Day? (Not in the way you’re thinking…) We’ve rounded up the best Valentine’s races, fun runs and couples’ yoga, so grab your better half and let’s get physical!

1. Delvera Valentine’s Sunset Hike

Date: 14 February 2018

Distance: 9.75km

Location: Dirtopia Trail Centre, Delvera Farm

The Details: What could possibly be more romantic than a hike up a beautiful mountain with your significant other, while the sun sets and a glass of bubbly waits for you at the top? Although this is romantic, the Dirtopia team encourage friends and family to join in the fun. Hikers set off between 4:30pm and 5:30pm – the sun sets at 7:30pm, so don’t be late! 2. Valentine’s Night Race

Date: 14 February 2018

Distance: 5km or 10km

Location: Q Square, Worcester

The Details: Grab your partner and your running shoes and enjoy a fun (or competitive – you choose) five or 10km run. The race is followed by a market at Q Square featuring live music, craft beer and all the food. Entries take place on the day from 5pm at the Spar at Q Square. For more details, click here.

3. Sunday Outdoor Valentine’s Yoga 

Date: 11 February 2018

Dress Code: Red (passion), white (peace), pink (self-love)

Location: Life Retreat Studio, Lourensford

4. Valentine’s Ride

Distance: A variety of distances to cater for all levels of riders

Location: Bike Park, Constantia Uitsig

The Details: Spend Valentine’s Day with pro-cyclist and rather dreamy Simon Andreassen (you may want to leave your boyfriend behind this time). Meet up with the Trail Angels and Bike Park group at 5pm and head off to the Tokai trails at 5:30pm. Don’t rush off – stick around afterwards for a selfie with Simon and a drink or two. 5. Valentine’s Fun 5km

Date: 14 February 2018

Distance: 5km

Location: Devonvale Golf and Wine Estate, Stellenbosch

The Details: Explore the incredible Devonvale Golf and Wine Estate, on foot. This is a fun run and kids are welcome to take part as well. Work up an appetite for the Night Market, which includes live entertainment, food stalls, a cocktail bar and more. Register for the run at 6pm and get those legs moving at 6:30pm.
