Baked beans – i.e. comfort in a tin. Put them on toast, add them as a side to a big slap-up breakfast or simply heat and eat out of a bowl as you binge on countless episodes of your favourite series. The only thing better than a store-bought tin of beans is (hear me out) making your own. This baked beans recipe is easy to make and allows you a bit of freedom to make the beans just how you like them – spicy? Add extra chilli. Herby? Throw in all your favourite herbs. You can also use your favourite bean – any white bean is good, but you can also use kidney beans or black beans.
